American Society of Inventors
This non-profit organization formed in 1953 to bring inventors together and to educate them on protecting, developing and marketing or licensing their inventions.

Campus Philly
If you are in the market for interns from across the region, this may be a place to start. You are able to register and search for potential interns and entry-level workers at no cost. Twice a year, Campus Philly conducts, free, online job fairs. The last job fair resulted in the registration of ~2,000 students and ~250 companies.

DCED Business Assistance Programs PDF
This guide presents the basics on all of the business financing programs that they offer. The types of funding available are broken out by use: land and building; machinery and equipment; working capital; workforce development; R&D; tax credits; infrastructure development (including Brownfield’s and remediation); starting a business; export financing; and retail and commercial.

Delaware County Keystone Innovation Zone

A Keystone Innovation Zone that focuses on supporting technology based start up companies that support the broad areas of homeland security and defense.

Department of Community and Economic Development

Greater Philadelphia Bioinformatics Alliance
A consortium of regional research and academic organizations dedicated to advancing life sciences, improving healthcare and creating a highly skilled workforce. This group holds semi-regular networking and educational events that may be of interest to those of you in the bioinformatics arena.

Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Guide
This guide serves as a link to the vast resources that are available in the region including companies, service providers and support associations/organizations. If you have not already submitted your company profile to this online guide, click here to do so.

HireOne
The Chester County Economic Development Council, The Chester County Workforce Investment Board, PA Career Link and numerous other organizations have created this task force to develop key strategies for successfully connecting job seekers to hiring employers.

Innovation Partnership
A consortium of economic development and business assistance organizations located throughout the commonwealth whose goal is to help early stage technology companies secure federal funding opportunities.

International Business Assistance
The Chester County Economic Development Council created the Chester County International Business Council (CCIBC) to contribute to the vitality of the regional economy by directly assisting businesses in international commerce. CCIBC is directed by its 33 member Advisory Board composed of executives with international expertise from industry and service sectors. Additionally, the Advisory Board provides mentoring, counseling and strategic input to local companies doing business internationally.

CCIBC collaborates with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Office of International Business Development and is an affiliate of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.

Southeastern KIZs

  • Biolaunch 611 KIZ
    This KIZ provides support to early-stage life sciences companies operating in Bucks and Montgomery counties south of Route 202 and in Philadelphia County north of Girard Avenue.
  • Bucks County Biotechnology KIZ
    This KIZ provides support to biotechnology companies operating in Bucks county via the Biotechnology Center of Bucks County.
  • Delaware County KIZ
    This KIZ is coordinated by the public/private partnership of Crozer-Keystone Health System and Widener University that resulted in the University Technology Park in the City of Chester. The genesis of this partnership is the creation of a knowledge-based economy in the region.
  • Greater Reading KIZ
    This KIZ provides support to advanced materials and diversified manufacturing, professional and shared services and food processing companies operating in the Greater Reading area of Berks County.
  • Navy Yard KIZ
    This KIZ provides support to power and energy, nanotechnology, advanced manufacturing, communications and IT, homeland security and life sciences companies operating within the Navy Yard.
  • University City KIZ
    This KIZ provides support to life sciences companies operating within the Science Center and its vicinity.
